Waunakee Utilities is accepting applications and scheduling interviews for the position of Journey Electric Line Worker. This position will be involved in the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of the electrical system.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver’s license. If hired, a Commercial Driver’s License must be obtained within six months of employment. Physical fitness and drug and alcohol screening are required. This position requires the applicant to serve on-call duty on a rotating basis. A 30 mile residency policy applies. The applicant must have the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks, climbing, and working with energized lines. Knowledge of safety rules and good communication skills are also important.
